University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Office of University Relations (OUR) recently promoted several employees.

Andrea Weaver was named deputy director. In this newly created position she helps develop internal and external communication strategies, advises on planning and staffing for OUR collaborations across campus and plays a key role in crisis communications, according to a news release.

Jesse Bradley was named director of media production after serving as the interim director since May. He oversees all aspects of production for live events and promotional/editorial video productions, the release stated.

Jennifer Glatt, OUR’s former publications manager, was elevated to editorial director. She is responsible for editorial content across all platforms.

Weaver also received the H. Lewis Gaston Award from the College News Association of the Carolinas (CNAC). The annual award, named in honor of a former CNAC president, recognizes a CNAC member for outstanding service to the association and for accomplishments in public relations in higher education, the release stated.
