The Property Shop Expands Its Own Property

Owner Tony Harrington predicts growth in The Property Shop’s future.

That’s one reason why the boutique appraisal and real estate business moved to 5900 Oleander Drive, a 3,500-square-foot space more than twice the size of the firm’s former office at 5725 Oleander Drive. The new office is next door to Saffo Law Firm and faces Oleander Drive, giving The Property Shop more visibility, Harrington said.

Harrington, a part of the real estate industry since 1996, has owned The Property Shop for the past five and a half years.

“When you start a business, you want to get your name out there first,” Harrington said. After he accomplished that goal, the time was right to expand, he said.

“We are actively hiring brokers,” Harrington said.

The Property Shop currently employs three brokers, and Harrington said the agency’s new office has enough room to accommodate seven more.

The Property Shop transformed its new space, which formerly housed a child care business, into “a nice, comfortable environment,” which inspires energy by incorporating art work into its design, said Harrington, a self-described art lover.

The Property Shop leased the office through Steve Warwick, co-founder and principal broker of Maus, Warwick, Matthews & Co.
