RiverLights To Link To AT&T IG Fiber Network

By Jeff Hidek, posted Dec 16, 2016
The new RiverLights neighborhoods along Wilmington’s recently relocated River Road will be one of the first mixed-use communities in Wilmington to be connected to AT&T’s fiber network.

AT&T said the service will offer a 1 gigabit internet connection to homes, apartments and business locations in the development.

The 1,400-acre RiverLights community marks its grand opening this month and should welcome new residents in early 2017.

AT&T says a 1G connection will let users download 25 songs in a second or a 90-minute HD movie in 34 seconds. RiverLights residents are also eligible for AT&T’s U-verse TV service.
