CastleBranch To Hold Career Event In Advance Of Expansion

By Jenny Callison, posted Oct 30, 2014
In preparing for a further expansion of its workforce, CastleBranch Corp. will hold a career event Friday at its headquarters, according to a news release from the company.

Friday’s employment open house takes place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. and features a wide range of positions throughout the company, spokeswoman Elizabeth Bloch said Thursday.

“This is our third large hiring event, and the positions are much more organizational,” she said. “We’re looking for managers, experienced IT people, sales representatives and sales supervisors. The positions are in every department in the company.”

Bloch said CastleBranch now employs just under 400 people, up from about 250 in early 2013, when the company was awarded an incentive package from New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington. In order to qualify for the incentive, which could total $250,000 over five years, CastleBranch must live up to its promise to create 400 new jobs in the area, as well as make a minimum $9 million investment in its facilities.

The new 60,000-square-foot headquarters building, completed in May at 1844 Sir Tyler Drive, cost a reported $10 million and complements CastleBranch’s original 36,000-square-foot office building next door to it.

Bloch did not specify how many positions are currently open in the company, which performs background screening and compliance management for colleges and universities, health care institutions, law firms and a variety of other employers nationwide.

Examples of available positions cited in the news release are software development manager, senior software developer, web developer, software support and maintenance programmer, sales consultant, sales support specialist and customer service representative.

Bloch said that, rather than dragging the search and interview process out, CastleBranch is trying to make quick decisions about applicants who would be a good fit for the company.

Applicants can register for the event by submitting resumes to [email protected]. Walk-ins are also welcome, the release stated.
