Taylor Named United Way Executive VP

Tommy Taylor, vice president of community impact for the United Way of the Cape Fear Area, has been promoted to executive vice president of the local nonprofit organization.
 
Taylor, who has been with the group for more than six years, will continue his duties providing guidance, strategies and leadership to United Way’s Community Impact Division, according to a news release from the organization.
 
“Tommy has been taking on the planning and direction of new programs and initiatives over the past few years and is a proven leader in the Cape Fear community,” Chris Nelson, United Way president and CEO, said in the release. “His foundation, connection and experience with the local nonprofit agencies and their directors is incredibly strong and has allowed our organization to build our Community Impact division from the ground up.”
