Pretties & Co. Boutique is expected to open at Mayfaire Town Center in August, said store manager Zoey Weeks.

The women’s clothing store will be located at 6866 Main St., beside Sleep Number and at the former Coastal Urge location, a retail apparel business that closed in May.

Weeks said Pretties & Co. officials liked the Mayfaire location because of the tourism it attracts.

“We just wanted to expand our brand and build it a little bit more, and anywhere that is a tourist town is really good for retail,” she said.

Pretties & Co. opened its first store location in Dunn in March of last year, and Weeks said the company wanted to grow after the success of the first store. Pretties & Co. also sells its clothing online.

The Mayfaire Community Center is fully occupied, and the Mayfaire Town Center has some vacancies still available, said Paige Coniglio, specialty leasing manager at Mayfaire.

Coniglio said the new clothing store will be a welcome addition to the shopping center.

“We are honored that Pretties & Co. Boutique chose to expand and open its second location in Mayfaire Town Center,” said Coniglio. “This family-owned treasure enhances the charm of Mayfaire.”

Another new business coming to Mayfaire includes Flip N Fly, a trampoline park.

Businesses that opened recently at the town center include Doh Cones, an edible cookie dough dessert shop, and STEM Labs, a science-focused children’s center.

Weeks said the plan for the new store is to maintain the same shopping environment Pretties & Co. established in its Dunn location.

“If they have followed us on our social media and have shopped in our store, we are hoping to be that 2.0, just as fun and welcoming,” Weeks said.
