Belville Selected For Advance Auto Parts Store

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Jan 16, 2014
A new auto parts store is slated for the Waterford Business Center in Belville.

Advance Auto Parts has submitted plans with the town of Belville for a  store in lot 16 of the growing Waterford Business Center, said Athina Williams, Belville town manager and zoning and subdivision administrator, on Thursday.

The store would front U.S. Highway 17 and be constructed on a lot between the First Bank and the Waterford Business Center – a commercial mixed-use development that’s seeing increased commercial activity.

Don Harley, principal broker of Wilmington-based Harley & Associates, represented the landlord – Leland-based DLBE Commercial Investment LLC – during the Dec. 27 transaction for an undisclosed amount. Rand Cox, a broker with Wilmington-based RE/MAX Essential Commercial, represented Advance Auto Parts.

Williams said preliminary plans for the store have been submitted by the applicant, and are currently being reviewed by town officials.

Once the plans are reviewed by town and state officials, Williams said the town’s technical review committee will vet the project – potentially sending off the plans to the planning board for approval by March.

Advance Auto Parts continues to grow its footprint in the region.

The retailer recently opened its newest store in Rocky Point, and continues to scout locations for growth across the region, according to various brokers.
