Large Shopping Center Has New Exclusive Broker

By Jamaal O'Neal, posted Apr 19, 2012

An area retail center has a new primary leasing firm.

Nicholas Silivanch, primary broker with Team Silivanch of Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners, announced Thursday that his team will become the exclusive broker for the Lumina Station’s leasing units.

Team Silivanch and Lumina Station/Seahorse Management will be working together to identify and recruit retailers for the 114,000 square foot retail center, located at 1900 Eastwood Road.

It’s the first time a local firm has been retained to represent the shopping center and market the site to potential retailers, according to a news release.

Lumina Station is the 1lth-largest shopping center in Wilmington, according to the Greater Wilmington Business Journal’s 2012 Book of Lists.

Its current tenants represent a mix of high-end shops, class-A office space and restaurants, including Monkee’s, Intracoastal Realty’s headquarters, and Stone Crab Oyster Bar. The retail roster is also set to see a new J. McLaughlin men’s clothing boutique; lingerie shop Lilies and Lace opened in late March.

Silivanch said there are currently two units available, each boasting 2,400 square feet of space.

“The center is one of the area’s most unique mixed-use facilities, having a diverse tenant mix,” Silivanch said. “We do not anticipate these units being on the market for long.”

Team Silivanch recently took over primary leasing responsibilities for Fulton Station on 17th Street, and is the primary leasing agent for the University Centre Shopping Plaza on College Road — which is currently 97 percent leased.

The team also leased Britton Center, a 18,500-square-foot shopping plaza located at 5330 Carolina Beach Road that is under construction. After being five months on the market, the center is now 100 percent leased, and will welcome tenants Wilmington Lady Fitness, Verizon Wireless and an unnamed mattress store.

The firm is also now preleasing retail space in the future Hudson Shopping Center along Castle Hayne Road in Castle Hayne.
