Island Kite and Surf has been reinvented and expanded.
Owners Mike and Jenny Malion renovated and built additions to the store at 209 S. Lake Park Boulevard. The expansion expanded the store from 1,000-square-feet to about 3,500 square feet, said Jenny Malion.
She said the one store, which opened in 2002, used to focus on kite flying, surfing and skateboards, but they decided it would be better to operate as three separate businesses: Another Skate Shop, CB Surf Shop and Another Skate Shop.
“We’re trying to do a one-stop shop kind of thing,” she said.
