Two businesses are expected to open this summer at Mayfaire Town Center, a spokeswoman said.
An appliance and electronics retailer, hhgregg, is expected to hire about 45 part- and full-time employees, said Sue Rice, the center’s director of operations. It will take over the 28,000-square-foot building in the center vacated by Linens 'n Things, which saw its stores' stock liquidated following a bankruptcy auction.
Another newcomer to Mayfaire is Tokyo 101, a sushi and hibachi restaurant, that will open in the 3,500-square-foot space formerly occupied by WOW Cafe and Wingery. The new restaurant will be adjacent to City Tavern, another eatery.
"Even with the slower economic time that we're in right now, we're getting lots of inquiries," Rice said, referring to prospective tenants.
