Nakedfin Poke Bowl will soon reopen from its new digs at 1319 Military Cutoff Road in The Forum shopping center.

The new space will not only enable the restaurant to expand its offerings – beer and wine are headed to the menu – but it will also double its seating capacity indoors and out and quadruple customer parking.

The restaurant previously operated at 420 Eastwood Road, opening the location in 2018 after renovations. After closing in mid-July for the move, Nakedfin Poke Bowl announced its new location on July 26 in a social media post, stating it still had some time before it opens.

Nakedfin Poke Bowl is one of the few restaurants in the area that serves poke and the only one that specializes in the Hawaiian dish. For the uninitiated, poke (pronounced poh-kay) is a salad composed of chunks of marinated raw seafood, vegetables and seasonings. However, there are many variations of poke, including dishes that are made with cooked seafood or that are vegetarian.

The restaurant offers customers several versions of the cuisine. Its basic dish is the Nakedfin, which is made of tuna, red cabbage, carrots, green onions, Nakedfin’s classic sauce, and seaweed flakes. It also serves the Pacific, a mix of salmon, mango, edamame, citrus ponzo and cilantro that has a hint of sweetness. For those who like some spice, there’s the Heatwave. By adding jalapeno, Nakedfin’s heat sauce, and chili flakes to tuna, salmon, snow peas and other vegetables, the dish lives up to its name.

Rounding out the menu are the bowls that include multiple types of seafood. The Big Kahuna features tuna, salmon and crab with jalapeno, heat sauce and vegetables; and the Tsunami combines tuna, salmon, crab and shrimp with vegetables.

If none of those dishes appeal to customers, they can build their own bowls. Customers can also choose from sides like the avocado boat, miso soup and seaweed salad.

Though Nakedfin Poke Bowl’s main dishes fall into the healthy and tasty category, its menu includes banana chocolate swirl and lemon pound cake for those who want to indulge in a little decadence.
