Restaurant Tidbits This Week: Buffet Returns; A Change For The Green House

By Jessica Maurer, posted Aug 11, 2021
Nawab Fine Indian Cuisine, 6828 Market St., has brought back its lunch buffet on Saturday and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Owner Sunny Singh said there will be about eight dishes on the menu each week along with rice, appetizers and desserts. The price is $14 per person and there is also a salad bar available.

The owners of The Green House, Wilmington’s first upscale vegan restaurant, announced via Facebook that they have hired a new executive chef, Tosha Gutheridge. With the addition of Gutheridge, The Green House at 1427 Military Cutoff Road now has an all-female management team, according to the Facebook post.

Owners Laura Tiblier and Anastasia Worrell opened The Green House under the direction of executive chef Dave Herring less than a month ago but calls to Tiblier regarding the change were not immediately returned.

A new tenant, Pipeline Poke, has been announced for the latest phase of mixed-use development Autumn Hall, which is also set to house Ash Aziz’s new restaurant Origin Food and Drink.

Brian Eckel, of Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial, said chef Lee Grossman’s concept is expected to open in the first quarter of 2022.

“We are excited to have both Chef Lee and Ash join us at Autumn Hall,” Eckel said. “They are both arguably some of the best restaurateurs in our region and believe their concepts will do very well and be a nice amenity for Wilmington.”

Stay tuned for more information on Pipeline Poke.
