“We want to celebrate with our loyal patrons, show our gratitude and give something back,” said Jennifer Galeano, marketing representative with Zocalo.

Zocalo, at 1474 Barclay Pointe Blvd., across from The Pointe 14 movie theaterin The Pointe at Barclay, opened July 2017 and offers a modern version of traditional Mexican food.

As part of the celebration, Zocalo executive chef Julio Camberos has prepared a special menu that will be available only from Thursday through Sunday.
Items on the menu include Camarones a la Diabla, spicy shrimp in a red chili sauce with a side of rice, duck enchiladas, three-cheese fondue with chorizo and pico de gallo, and tres leches cake, a vanilla sponge cake soaked in a sweet mixture of three kinds of milk.

There will also be two drinks on the special menu: blueberry mint margarita and Mezcalita de Pepino, a cocktail with mezcal and cucumber.

Sunday’s celebration will include live music from Fusión Estéreo, a Latin guitar band, from 6 to 9 p.m., Zocalo gift card prizes and complimentary birthday cake.

Zocalo is owned by Emmanuel Ibarra and Alejandro Hernandez, whose parents are owners of El Cerro Grande.
