NeMa Lounge & Eatery, 225 S. Water St., has rebranded as NeMa Burger & Pizza Lounge, according to co-owner Amy Lovaas.

“We’ve taken a close look at what our customers have really responded to and what they’re asking for more of,” Lovaas said. “And that was specialty burgers and pizza.”

NeMa is now serving two beef burgers, The NeMa Prestige with grass-fed and hormone- and antibiotic-free North Carolina beef, and The Bacon Angus with Angus beef and uncured bacon. There is also a black bean burger, a turkey burger and wild salmon burger. All burgers are served on a choice of scratch-made breads such as brioche, potato buns and pita or Bibb lettuce.

NeMa has also added a build-your-own pizza menu with three crust options: traditional, sourdough or cauliflower. They also offer six NeMa specialty pies.

NeMa offers a variety of salads, as well as sandwiches and a daily homemade soup. And of course, the fancy fries they have become well known for: scratch-made fries tossed in Parmesan, truffle salt, sea salt and herbs.

Brunch is offered 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday featuring $5 mimosas and specialty Bloody Mary’s. Martini tastings are offered 4-8 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. For $20, customers can enjoy five mini-martinis and a small order of fancy fries.

NeMa is also now offering pizza delivery downtown, with the option of wine and beer delivery as well.
