Buzz’s Roost has announced plans for a third location to open this spring in Carolina Beach. Current locations are at 15 S. Front Street in Wilmington and Georgetown, South Carolina.

Trevor Day of Miller Day Hospitality said that he and partners Gerald Hebert and Michael Day are in the process of renovating the space at 8 Pavilion Ave. S. The building was previously home to Olde Salty’s, which relocated to 103 N. Lake Park Blvd. last month.

“We’re very excited about expanding into a new market and providing a great place for locals,” Day said.

According to Day, the menu and décor will be similar to that of the Front Street location. Current renovations include upgrading kitchen equipment, creating a new bar area and a restructured dining area, as well as work to the exterior façade.

Day said the menu will focus on fresh seafood, including steam pots, platters, sandwiches and tacos.

“We’ll have a fresh take on local favorites.” Day said. “We’re also the first spot off the beach and a great place to watch the fireworks during the summer.”

A March opening is expected, and Buzz’s Roost will celebrate the second anniversary of the downtown location on March 25 with live music and complimentary passed appetizers.
