The Ogden Tap Room’s second annual Taps and Tails Beer and Wine Fest will take place Saturday. The event, a fundraiser for Knights of Columbus Charities, will feature beer and wine from more than 40 vendors.

“Last year’s event was a big success and we raised a lot of money for a great charity,” said Ogden Tap Room owner Jeff Deininger. “It’s a darn good time all day long.”

Deininger says it’s an opportunity for guests to have the chance to speak with representatives from breweries across the country.

“Most of the breweries will also have a specialty small batch brew with them that is something guests won’t find in stores or even in bars,” Deininger said. “One of the things we heard a lot from last year’s guests was how surprised they were by the variety of beer available. They felt they more than got their money’s worth with all the food and beer on hand.”

A low country shrimp and crawfish boil with sausage, potatoes and corn will also be available for purchase.

Local musicians Jesse Stockton, Max Levy & The Hawaiian Shirts, Groove Fetish, Stray Local, Justin Fox and Randy McQuay will perform throughout the day.

Deininger says many of the vendors will have T-shirts, glasses and keychains.

Ogden Tap Room will offer goodie bags to the first 50 VIP arrivals.

Tickets for general admission are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. VIP tickets include the low country boil and are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Low country boil plates can be purchased separately for $10 for a regular portion and $15 for a large portion. Tickets for children 12 and under (accompanied by an adult) are $5.

Doors open at 2 p.m. for VIP tickets and 3 p.m. for general admission. The event will take place rain or shine.
