By Jessica Maurer, posted Aug 19, 2015
As part of its monthly brewery series, Fermental welcomes representatives from Tröegs Brewing of Hershey, Pennsylvania, for an evening of beer tastings, giveaways, food and live music on Aug. 22.

Founded in 1996 by brothers Chris and John Trogner, Troegs specializes in brews that embody traditional brewing techniques as well as new American brewing styles. While only available in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., Tröegs Brewery is known nationwide for its award-winning Troegenator Double Bock and its seasonal releases such as Nugget Nectar and The Mad Elf.

The independently owned brewery offers eight year-round beers as well as four rotating seasonals and a variety of limited and small-batch releases.

Tröegs has only been available in North Carolina since late 2014. The upcoming event will feature several of Tröegs daily offerings including Perpetual IPA, Troegenator, Java Head Stout, Jovial, LaGrave, and Dreamweaver Wheat. There will be also be a limited batch of 2014 Mad Elf Ale available by the pint or growler fill.

The food truck of the evening will be La Bella Airosa Authentic Mexican Cuisine beginning at 6 p.m., and live music begins at 7 p.m. with Stray Local, a bluegrass/folk/old-time trio.

Fermental is located at 7250-B Market St.
