A Tasting Room Hosts Yelp's Local Launch Party

By Jessica Maurer, posted Aug 19, 2015
A Tasting Room on Wednesday will host the launch party for online review site Yelp's new office in Wilmington.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public, 21 and over. A Tasting Room, 19 S. Second St., will provide the wine, and several local restaurants such as Fork N’ Cork, PinPoint, Beer Bario and Boombalattis will serve samples.

Guests will enjoy live, local music from Heather Rogers as well as artwork from local artist Char Oden.

“Yelp has opened a new office in Wilmington, and we are proud to host their welcome party,” said owners Michael Bevacqua and Anthony Palermo in their most recent newsletter.

A Tasting Room has also announced it is now carrying a variety snacks from the Veggie Wagon of Carolina Beach. Bevacqua and Palermo have installed a new cooler that will be stocked with Veggie Wagon specialties such as goat cheese spreads, salsas, tapenades and beer-cheese dips as well as crostinis, pasta salads and sweets.
