Several area restaurants have recently expanded their hours and in some cases their menus as well.

Carolina Table Salt, 812 S. College Road, started out in June serving just one dish for lunch Tuesday through Thursday. Now, due to customer demand, CTS is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., serving at least three items for lunch each day. On the menu Monday through Friday customers will find shrimp and grits, BBQ pork and two sides and pulled BBQ chicken and two sides. Brisket is available on Thursdays, and a specialty sandwich is featured each Saturday. Sides include baked beans, summer slaw, macaroni and cheese and potato salad.

“Certain items folks wanted every day,” said co-owner Michael Woodard. “So we’re trying to give them what they’re asking for on a more regular basis.”

The Pub at Sweet N Savory, 2012 Eastwood Road, recently revamped its summer menu, adding several new sandwiches. All-new chicken, pork and fish sandwiches are available, including the Washington chick with grilled chicken, granny smith apples, Havarti cheese, bacon and honey mustard; the island pork sandwich with pulled pork, grilled pineapple and jerk BBQ sauce; and the Buffalo shrimp burger with fried shrimp tossed in buffalo sauce and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and gorgonzola cheese. There are four new veggie burgers on the menu as well as four new grilled cheese sandwiches.

NeMa Eatery and Lounge, 225 S. Water St., is now open for Sunday brunch. On the menu: eggs benedict, breakfast tacos on scratch-made tortillas, carnitas hash, vegan hash and breakfast pizzas. Five dollar mimosas are available after noon. NeMa is also now featuring live music on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 10 p.m., with pizza and fries served until midnight.

Earlier this summer Chops Deli expanded its hours at the downtown location. Chops downtown is now open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
