Panera Bread will open its new location at 3506 Oleander Drive on Nov. 19. (Editor's note: The company pushed back the opening a day. The original version of this story has been corrected with the updated opening.)

Located next to the Starbucks in front of Independence Mall, the bakery-cafe will seat 115 people inside and 44 on the outdoor patio, said Amanda Burns, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis-based company. It will also offer a drive-thru, free Wi-Fi and catering.

New and seasonal breakfast items include a Turkey Sausage, Egg White and Spinach Power Breakfast Sandwich with Vermont Cheddar; a Carmel Apple Scone; a Cherry-Vanilla Bagel; and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Lunch items include the new Turkey Cranberry Flatbread Sandwich; Butternut Squash Ravioli; a vegetarian Autumn Squash Soup; and a Fuji Apple Chicken Salad.

“Our concept has been embraced throughout North Carolina for many years, and we look forward to sharing our signature Panera Warmth at our newest Wilmington bakery-cafe,” Matt Smith, Panera Bread district manager, said in an email.

The Oleander Drive location is Panera's second in Wilmington. The area's original restaurant is at 1156 Military Cutoff Road near Mayfaire Town Center.
