The Harris Teeter at Long Leaf Mall has expanded its selection of hot prepared foods. A pizza station offering hand-tossed pizzas and an Asian bar have recently been added.

Pizzas are made daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A whole pie costs $11.99, and slices are available for $2.49. Customers can choose from a variety of toppings; specialty pies include combinations such as steak and cheese, chicken pesto and BBQ chicken.

The October pizza of the month is the Greek for $7.99. It has a light tomato-garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, black olives, red onions, artichoke hearts and sliced Roma tomatoes, all topped with feta cheese. On Mondays all whole pies are $7.99. Call-ahead orders are suggested.

The Asian bar is available for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Selections include appetizers such as vegetable spring rolls and chicken dumplings as well as dishes such as Thai Chicken Curry, Kung Pao Chicken, Hunan Beef and Chicken and Broccoli. White and brown rice as well as fried rice and noodles are available. All items on the Asian bar are $7.99 per pound.

This store location still offers a 63-item salad bar for $5.99 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., as well as three soups daily. There is a sushi bar, a sandwich bar and a prepared foods case at the deli offering heat and eat carry-out meals as well.
