Friday brings another change to a University Landing shopping center rear unit that has housed its share of eateries.

In the past year, the College Road spot has hosted Times Square Pizza followed by Brazilian Grill, a low-priced Brazilian steakhouse experience.

Husband-and-wife Julian Herrera and Nora Linares on Friday introduce a new chicken-centric concept at the 417 S. College Road address, Herrera said. The Golden Chicken will feature boldly spiced Peruvian rotisserie chicken as well as other Peruvian dishes.

Persistent rumors of a P.F. Chang’s China Bistro opening in Wilmington were put to rest again this week by a company spokeswoman. While the chain is always scouting new locations and has looked at Wilmington, a restaurant is not planned for the city, Allison Schulder said.

The company confirmed in 2012 that it was looking at Wilmington but reported no specific location.

Plans have been scrapped also for a doughnut shop at 1725 Dawson St.

Martin Gallan, who owns nearby A2Z Home Medical Supply, was considering a Paradise Donuts franchise store for the spot, which most recently hosted an international food market.
