Elam joins CAMS team
Jennifer Elam has joined Community Association Management Services’ (CAMS) team of community association managers in southeastern North Carolina, according to a release from the company.

Elam brings a "wealth of knowledge" along with many years of experience in association management to CAMS, the release stated, adding that she has been a community association manager for 12 years and is a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Associate Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM). She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and held a real estate license in Hawaii.

Sartin goes solo at Intracoastal
Bryan Sartin has announced that he is now an independent agent with Intracoastal Realty Corp. He will be based in the firm’s Lumina 2 office, according to a news release.
Sartin has more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry, having worked for Homes and Land Magazine of Wilmington, Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association and on the Hopkins & Associates team at Intracoastal Realty, the release stated.
Sartin holds a B.A. in communication studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, according to the release.

Laney grads do well on real estate exam
Laney School of Real Estate was one of 10 real estate schools in North Carolina whose students earned a 75 percent passing rate on the N.C. Real Estate Licensing Examination, according to a news release from the school. Statewide, only 61 percent of real estate students pass the exam, the release continued, citing information provided for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 by the Real Estate Commission.

“The Commission recognizes that to have students perform at such a level on the license examination requires a combination of high quality instruction and high course completion standards,” the release stated.
 
Property Shop adds two
The Property Shop of the Carolinas has added two brokers to its staff, according to a news release.

Sandra Wooten, a native of North Carolina, brings to the firm experience in real estate investment, sales and interior architecture, the release stated. She is the former owner of Omni Interior, a commercial design firm in Burlington. Wooten also served for six years on Burlington’s Historic Commission and received two Awards of Excellence for historic preservation, the release stated.
 
Erika Tripp, who joined the real estate firm in September as its transaction and marketing coordinator, became a broker this month, according to the release.
