Ogden Firm Merges With Intracoastal Realty

By Cece Nunn, posted May 3, 2017
A real estate firm based in the Ogden area has merged with Intracoastal Realty, one of the largest residential real estate companies in the region, according to a news release Wednesday.

With the Neighbour Realty & Associates merger, Intracoastal Realty gains an office at Oak Landing Shopping Center, 8262 Market St., the release said. The announcement did not disclose financial details of the merger.

Intracoastal Realty was established in 1976 and has more than 350 agents, adding seven with the Neighbour Realty merger.

Calling Intracoastal a "top brand" in the area, Neighbour Realty owner Glenn Neighbour said in the release that the firm's marketing tools and technology services position agents for success.

“By merging with Intracoastal Realty, we can provide customers with a wider array of real estate services. This is a win-win for Intracoastal Realty and Neighbour Realty,” Glenn Neighbour said.

Jim Wallace, CEO of Intracoastal Realty, said in the release that his company is excited about adding Neighbour agents to the firm and the opportunity to open a new Intracoastal Realty office by transitioning into the Neighbour Realty spot at Oak Landing.

"The location fits perfectly into our company’s continued growth in the Porters Neck and Hampstead corridor,” Wallace said in the release.

Intracoastal Realty operates 13 offices in New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties. By August, the company plans to open an office in The Pointe at Barclay, a movie theater-anchored center under construction in midtown Wilmington.

Intracoastal Realty agents have sold more than $1 billion in residential properties over the past 12 months, the release said.
