In September, More Homes Sold With Fewer Days On Market

While the number of units increased in September compared to the same month last year, the days on market continued to decrease for homes sold in New Hanover, Pender and northern Brunswick counties, according to statistics released Tuesday afternoon.

The number of homes sold increased by about 11 percent, from 698 in September last year to 775 last month, show numbers from the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors, compiled from the N.C. Regional MLS.

Median and average sales prices dipped slightly, while total dollars from home sales during the month increased by more than $16.5 million.

New listings increased by 76, from 825 in September 2015 to 901 last month, according to WRAR. The figures also show days on market decreasing from 103 last September to 88 last month, for a more than 14.5 percent decrease.
