A local long-term rental company that manages more than 550 homes in the Wilmington area recently bought a short-term rental firm, according to an announcement Wednesday.

Sea Coast Rentals purchased United Beach Vacations (UBV) of Carolina Beach, which brings about 100 homes in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach under Sea Coast's management.

“This acquisition will be a benefit to all of our customers, both long- and short-term rental properties,” said Justin Ash, the new president and one of the owners of Sea Coast Rentals, in a news release. “Our expansion and new leadership structure will enable us to strengthen our customer service and streamline the services we provide.”

Tim Milam, president of real estate firm Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, and several other local business leaders are the current owners of Sea Coast Rentals, in addition to Ash.

As president, Ash brings more than 10 years of real estate sales and management experience with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage to his new position, according to the release. During his tenure at Coldwell Banker, he was a top-producing sales agent and ultimately served as broker in charge and sales manager of the Hampstead, Topsail and Sneads Ferry offices. In addition to sales, Ash has extensive experience in new homes development, property management and HOA management – all in the Wilmington area, the announcement said.

Sea Coast Rentals is not affiliated with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage.
