An existing townhome development in Surf City will soon be auctioned off to the highest bidder by the end of the month, according to an online auction notice.

CBRE Marketplace – a division of Los Angeles-based CBRE Group that handles auctions and accelerated real estate sales across the nation – recently posted an online notice to sell the Harbor Sound townhome development at 302-310 Vesta Court in Surf City.

Starting bid for the development is $600,000, although an initial deposit required to bid is $50,000, the notice stated.

Online bidding for the development is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. April 29 and close at 3 p.m. that day, according to the notice. Interested bidders can also schedule an appointment with CRBE officials to inspect the property at 10:30 a.m. on April 15 and April 24.

Situated on 1.44 acres fronting Waters Bay, Harbor Sound contains 13 undeveloped lots with pylons already in place, the notice stated. The site also includes six boat slips, a dock and boat launch ramp and a 1,400-square-foot clubhouse that features a fitness center and pool.

CBRE officials did not return phone calls for comment Tuesday afternoon.
