Site plans have been submitted to the city of Wilmington for a concrete batching plant on about 10 acres at 239 Raleigh St.

The developer for the project is listed as Crete Holdings of Wilmington. The plans, posted Wednesday on the city's project tracking website, include a proposed 1,600-square-foot office, aggregate bin storage, silos, parking spaces and a gravel parking area for concrete mixer trucks.

Prepared by Paramounte Engineering Inc. of Wilmington, the documents show a modular office for Phase 1 of the project, with parking for Phases 1 and 2 to be constructed during the first phase and the modular office removed after the second-phase office is built.

The land's current zoning is for heavy industrial uses. The 10 acres, along with a separate warehouse property on 2 acres, was purchased by KILM Investment LLC in 2015.

Efforts to reach a representative of Crete Holdings were not immediately successful Thursday. The city had no additional information Thursday to share on the proposal other than the site plans, said associate planner Nicole Smith.

The project could be on the agenda of the city's Technical Review Committee at its July 27 meeting, according to the project tracking site.
