More New Mayfaire Offices In The Works

By Cece Nunn, posted Jan 6, 2017
Plans for the fifth and sixth Offices at Mayfaire buildings have been submitted to the city of Wilmington.

The proposal for The Offices at Mayfaire V and VI calls for a  31,355-square-foot office building at 6727 Parker Farm Drive and a 40,500-square-foot office building at 6751 Parker Farm Drive.

The city's Technical Review Committee is expected to review the plans at its meeting Jan. 12, which starts at 8:30 a.m. in the fourth floor technology conference room at 305 Chestnut St.

Currently, the 40,000-square-foot Offices at Mayfaire IV is under construction by McKinley Building Corp. at 6740 Rock Spring Road in the Mayfaire office park, expected to be complete by April.

In November, Offices at Mayfaire developer Steve Anderson said he and his partners had anticipated starting Mayfaire V no later than summer 2017, Mayfaire VI by 2018, although those estimated times could change.

“For our buildings, we want the market to dictate when they should start. And as it is now, the market is certainly telling us that Mayfaire is at the top of many class-A office users and preferred locations,” Anderson said in November.

Although not finished, the Offices at Mayfaire IV already has buyers, including Intracoastal Eye Physicians.
