A law firm has signed a long-term lease to occupy a two-story office building on 17th Street, brokers announced this week.

Bain & Rodzik will move from Market Street to 2309 S. 17th St., near New Hanover Regional Medical Center, this year, the announcement from Cameron Management said.

"Bain & Rodzik are experienced personal injury attorneys, so a highly visible and accessible office building close to NHRMC is an excellent location for their practice," said Rahn Lowder, a broker with Cameron Management, in a news release.

Lowder, along with Cameron Management broker-in-charge Hill Rogers, represented the landlord, Williams Development Group, in the transaction for an undisclosed amount.

"Our growing practice needed more space, and the location near the hospital is ideal for us," said attorney Todd A. Rodzik in the release.

The new Bain & Rodzik office will undergo an interior renovation and is expected to be open for business early in the second quarter of this year, according to the announcement.

Based in Winston-Salem, Williams Development Group has various real estate projects located across the state. The firm bought the building at 2309 S.17th St. for $400,000 in November 2014 from Gallan Vacation Properties LLC, according to New Hanover County property tax records.
