A Wilmington pharmacy opened Monday on Oleander Drive in a new, larger location.

Pharmacy Innovations leased 3,000-square-foot Unit E in the Gap Center at 3608 Oleander Drive, and left its former location at 2425 S. 17th St.

“We moved to give us room for our business to grow,” said Joe Marrotta, pharmacy manager for Pharmacy Innovations. The 17th Street location was about 1,800 square feet.

“Our new location is much more visible than our previous one,” he said. “We figured we’d be able to serve our clients a little more efficiently at this location.”

The pharmacy offers customers “adherence packaging,” Marrotta said, which involves organizing and packaging medication by day, up to four administration times per day.

Pharmacy Innovation’s new location was formerly occupied by Cape Fear Games, which moved earlier this year to Anderson Square, 4107 Oleander Drive.

F. Spruill Thompson, senior vice president of Cape Fear Commercial, represented Pharmacy Innovations in the lease while Chuck Lydon, senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners, and Lee Weddle, also of Coldwell Banker Commercial, represented the landlord.

Pharmacy Innovations, which has five full-time employees and a part-time technician, is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
