Preliminary plan for the proposed TrueBue Medical Office development
A doctor wants to build a new 20,000-square-foot, two-story medical office on land in the northwest corner of South College Road and Satara Drive, a proposal that requires conditional zoning district approval from New Hanover County.

Cindee Wolf of Design Solutions has sent notices to the owners of adjacent properties, which include Zone 8 Gardens at 3802 S. College Road, letting them know about a community meeting on the proposed TrueBlue Medical Office.

The session is scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 12 at Cameron Art Museum, 3201 S. 17th St.

“This provides neighbors with an opportunity for explanation of the proposal and for questions to be answered concerning project improvements, benefits and impacts,” Wolf wrote in the notice to adjacent owners, referring to the community meeting.

The notice did not mention what type of medical practice is being proposed or the developer's name.

“I have no problem with the idea of a medical park over there,” Dick Stinson, owner of Zone 8 Gardens, who had received his notification from Wolf, said Monday. “Matter of fact, I like the idea.”

But that’s as long as wetlands on the property aren’t filled in, Stinson said.

The proposed office is on 2.2 acres next to the Fulton Station Shopping Center Walgreen’s at 3720 S. College Road, according to preliminary plans completed by Wolf.
