A retail center nestled along one of Wilmington’s premier commercial corridors has been sold.

Bryan Greene, managing principal of Wilmington-based Turnstone Partners, announced in a news release Tuesday that an unnamed investor/buyer has purchased the 13,500-square-foot strip retail center at 4720 New Centre Drive.

Officials closed on the fully-occupied retail center Tuesday afternoon for an undisclosed amount.

Grayson Powell, general manager of Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners, represented the seller during the transaction. Greene represented the buyer and performed the financial analysis on the shopping center to help underwrite the transaction.

"We worked through a number of items identified in underwriting and due diligence as it is critical that these investments perform as intended, as our clients expect investment performance to match underwriting over time, and we take that responsibility serious," Greene said in a news release.

Constructed in 2001, the shopping center, which sits across the street from the New Centre Market power retail development, houses tenants that include Plato’s Closet, Clothes Mentor and Lendmark Mortgage.
