Center Reaches Full Occupancy

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Jun 3, 2013

The existing phase of The Village at College and Oleander recently added its final tenant, reaching 100 percent occupancy at the 13,500-square-foot retail center.

CPR, or Cell Phone Repair, opened in 1,500-square-feet of retail space at the shopping center, according to a news release.
Hill Rogers, broker-in-charge of Wilmington-based Cameron Management Inc., completed the long-term lease transaction for an undisclosed amount roughly three months ago.

The shop, which is owned by Rob Fischer, officially opened June 1, the release stated.

The national retailer, which operates eight additional stores in North Carolina and more than 150 locations nationwide and specializes in cell phone, tablet, laptop and game console repairs, will join Moe’s Southwest Grill, Sprint and Salon One Suite at the development.

CPR’s opening could signal increased demand for additional retail space at the shopping center, which is located at the corner of Oleander Drive and South College Road – one of the busiest intersections in Wilmington.

Officials with the development firm are currently leasing 13,500 square feet of retail space in phase two of development. The site also has two outparcels, each fronting Oleander Drive and College Road, that have received increased interest, including a Dunkin Donuts – that is expected to take up a 0.69-acre parcel fronting Oleander Drive pending city approval.
