A Wilmington-based flex office space leader is opening new digs in the heart of the Port City.
Coworx officials on Wednesday opened its newest location in Barclay Commons, 2512 Independence Blvd. in Suite 202, according to a news release. Coworx at Barcaly Commons is currently taking reservations, and has rented 25 percent of the location’s private office suites.
This is the third Coworx location to open in Wilmington since first launching the flex office model at Lumina Station in May 2011.
The nearly 5,000 square feet of office space offers a variety of workspace options, including part-time flex desk plans, 20 dedicated studio desks and 15 private offices, the news release stated. Other amenities include furnished workspaces, hi-speed Internet, conference room, mailboxes, printer, copier, fax and scanner.
Flex desk plans start at $50 per month. Dedicated studio desks start at $275 per month and private offices start at $475 per month, according to the news release.
The company partnered with the Cameron Group to develop the newest Coworx location in Barclay Commons.
“We analyzed the Coworx business model against a traditional single-tenant lease, and in this instance the Coworx model came out on top,” Hill Rogers, principal broker for Cameron Management Inc., said in a news release. “In addition to filling up a large unoccupied office space, we also anticipate a positive impact from the influx of new people Coworx will bring to the Barclay Commons development.”
