Colonial Material Moving To New Location

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Jul 13, 2012

A company with long-time North Carolina roots will be nearly doubling its Wilmington location.

Colonial Material, which is currently located in 24,000 square feet of space at 225 Crowatan Road in Castle Hayne, is preparing to move into 44,000 square feet of space at 2820 U.S. Highway 421 North along New Hanover County’s industrial corridor.

Fayetteville-based Colonial Materials is a full service distributor of drywall and ceiling systems and operates additional branches in Fayetteville and Jacksonville.

Hill Rogers, principal broker with Wilmington-based Cameron Management Inc., represented Colonial Material during the long-term lease transaction; while Will Leonard, a broker with Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial, represented the landlord.

Rogers said Colonial officials are slated to open their new location by Aug. 1.

Calls to Colonial were not returned by press time Friday afternoon.
