Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage Acquires Realty Firm

By Samantha Santana, posted Jun 23, 2014
Wilmington real estate company Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage on Monday announced it would move into Holden Beach.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage’s new office in Holden Beach comes with the acquisition of Rampage Realty, which was a locally owned, independent real estate that specialized in Brunswick County properties, according to a news release. The location will operate out of Rampage Realty’s previous office at 3247 Holden Beach Road.

Linda Stephens formed Rampage Realty in 1989. Stephens and Rampage brokers Vickie Lemar and Brenda Peebles will remain with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, according to the release. Officials added that five more brokers would join the firm to expand the office’s presence.

“Prior to this acquisition, we had one gap in our locations along the state’s southeastern coast and that was Holden Beach,” Tim Milam, president of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, said in a statement. “With the opening of our new Holden Beach office, we now have a consistent presence along the entire coastline from Jacksonville to the South Carolina border, which enables us to better serve our buyers and sellers throughout the region.”

Tom O’ Neill, broker in charge of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage’s South Brunswick office, said in the release that Holden Beach is a popular destination for homeowners and is conveniently located between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. The average sales price for a house in Holden Beach last year was $515,000, according to the release.

The firm closed $230 million in home sales in 2013 in Brunswick County, outpacing the next-leading seller in the county at about $50 million, the release stated.
