Intracoastal Realty To Open Ocean Isle Beach Office, Forms Partnership

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Aug 23, 2013

Wilmington-based Intracoastal Realty is expanding its reach into southern Brunswick County by forming a partnership with an established realty firm, according to a Thursday news release.

The long-time real estate company recently executed a lease agreement with Ocean Isle Beach-based Williamson Realty to occupy 3,200 square feet of office space on the second floor of the firm’s 6,400-square-foot headquarters at 119 Causeway Drive in Ocean Isle Beach, the news release stated.

As the region’s real estate market continues to rebound, sales and rentals on Ocean Isle Beach are also strengthening, prompting Intracoastal officials to forge an alliance with Williamson Realty.

According to a news release, occupancy rates for Williamson Realty’s vacation rentals grew by more than 10 percent this season. In addition to vacation rentals, Williamson Realty has developed more than 300 residential properties on Ocean Isle Beach and the surrounding area, with its flagship development being the Island Park community at the west end of Ocean Isle.

Officials with Intracoastal and Williamson realty firms are targeting a Sept. 3 opening date for the new sales office.

Intracoastal Realty currently operates nine offices in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Brunswick County and Topsail Beach.
