Increased sales and rentals on Pleasure Island has prompted Intracoastal Realty officials to expand its Carolina Beach office, according to a news release.
The division of the Wilmington-based realty company recently moved into 5,000 square feet of office space at 1025 N. Lake Park Blvd. in Carolina Beach. It previously was at 1206 N. Lake Park Blvd. in a shopping center.
“Because our new office is a free-standing building, we were able to erect a large, stand-alone sign, which significantly increases our visibility to the thousands of vehicles that travel this road each day,” Cynthia Remahl, broker-in-charge for the Carolina Beach office, said in the release. “It also provides easier access for both our clients and our agents and provides us room to grow as the real estate market continues to strengthen.”
The new building, which results in a 70 percent increase in space for the office, will house more than 30 sales and rental agents and staff, officials said. The space also will allow sales teams to have individual offices to meet privately with clients, a news release stated.
Other amenities include two conference rooms with networked, large screen TVs for client presentations, a large training room and high-speed wireless Internet. Plans are also underway for additional upgrades such as new paint inside and out and new landscaping, the news release stated.
The Pleasure Island realty market continues to see increased interest in growth, as housing prices begin to level out from its peak pricing in 2008.
Intracoastal Realty’s Pleasure Island sales have steadily increased over the last 12 months, Remahl said in the release.
Sales are up 39 percent year-to-date when compared to the same time period in 2012, the news release stated. Vacation rentals are strong as well, with weekly rentals up 24 percent from 2012.
