Intracoastal Realty Links Up With Wells Fargo Mortgage

By Alison Lee Satake, posted Sep 30, 2011

Intracoastal Realty and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage of Wilmington have formed an exclusive marketing alliance for lending.

Although the real estate firm’s buyers and agents will still be able to work with any mortgage lender they choose, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will have a team of six loan officers dedicated solely to working with Intracoastal Realty.

Martin Barbee, retail sales manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will oversee the loan officers, who will be assigned to each of Intracoastal Realty’s offices.

“It’s really important these days, because financing is more complicated now and constantly changing,” said Jim Wallace, Intracoastal Realty president.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will have dedicated office space at Intracoastal Realty and two of the loan officers will be housed there permanently. Barbee will attend Intracoastal’s weekly sales meetings.

“Having a lender in our sales meetings will give us a leading edge on what’s happening in the lending market,” Wallace said.

The real estate firm had a similar agreement for two years with Barbee when he worked at Bank of America’s home mortgage division. When Barbee moved from Bank of America to Wells Fargo in July, the alliance moved with him.

The six loan officers on Intracoastal Realty’s Wells Fargo team are Armistead Boyd, Chad Harris, Bonnie Melville, Damon Surratt, JD Terry and Blair Young.
