Intracoastal Sweeps WRAR Awards

By Alison Lee Satake, posted Jan 13, 2011

The Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors awarded three local industry professionals at its annual installation event for the 2011 board of directors on Friday.

Intracoastal Realty agent April McDavid received the 2010 Realtor of the Year award for her participation in the National Association of Realtors, WRAR for whom she was the 2009 president and the North Carolina Association of Realtors, for which she will serve as a 2011 board director.

Michelle Clark, who is also an agent with Intracoastal Realty, was selected as the 2010 Salesperson of the Year because of the number of her closed transactions and dollar volume.

“In 2010, I had 34 closed transactions and over $16 million in volume,” she said. She has worked in the real estate industry in Wilmington and for Intracoastal Realty for five years.

Jim Wallace, owner of Intracoastal Realty, was selected as the 2010 Hall of Fame Award winner for his outstanding lifetime contributions to the real estate industry.

Earlier last month at the fourth quarter membership meeting, the association announced the recipients of its other annual awards. Kraig Marquis with Intracoastal Realty New Homes received the Sally Noffsinger Scholarship Award, J.D. Terry of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage received the Allied Member of the Year award, Intracoastal Realty’s Kasey Valente received the Cathy Clark Memorial Award and Jimmy Hopkins with Intracoastal Realty New Homes received the Paul Sullins’ Community Service Award.
