April McDavid, Intracoastal Realty, has become the 2009 president for the Wilmington Regional Association of REALTORS, according to a press release from WRAR.
At the annual banquet to install its new board, WRAR also swore in Mary Martin as president-elect, Karen Parkin as vice president, Susan Lacy as past president, and Dennis Musser as president of the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Southeastern North Carolina. Bob Jamieson, Dan Kibler, Tom Gale, Judy Wainio, Melanie Bertrand, RJ “Alex” Alexoudis, Sharon Laney, Buddy Blake, Ashley Garner, and Louise Voelker will serve as directors.
According to the release, New Hanover County Commissioner and a past WRAR president Jonathan Barfield received the 2008 Realtor of the Year award. Barfield received the award for his participation in WRAR, National Association of Realtors, North Carolina Association of Realtors and contributions to governmental, cultural, social and religious activities and other significant achievements.
Vance Young, Intracoastal Realty, earned the 2008 Salesperson of the Year based on his closed transactions and dollar volume while also dedicating time to the WRAR through committees, functions and other criteria.
