A firm that provides mechanical and electrical engineering and plumbing services is moving from one midtown address to another in Wilmington this fall. 

Baltic Avenue Developers LLC, a company related to CBHF Engineers, purchased the building at 2246 Yaupon Drive for $625,000 from CMJCMUR Properties LLC, according to a New Hanover County deed.

The location was important to CBHF officials because of its customer base, which includes New Hanover County Schools, the University of North Carolina Wilmington and local architects, said Allen Cribb, a partner in CBHF Engineers.

"Since it’s in the middle of the county, it’s easier to get to all of our clients," Cribb said.

The U.S. government and Camp Lejeune are also customers. One of the comany's current projects includes the inner workings of the new Blair Elementary School. 

"Since the majority of our work has been military-based, we’ve actually seen a little bit of a slow down, but we can tell that the local work is definitely increasing," Cribb said.

Other partners in the company, which has 18 employees including seven engineers, are Jason Famiglietti and David Hahn. 

The company is moving from leased space, about 5,000 square feet, at 3808 Park Ave. Cribb said CBHF plans to move into its new location on Yaupon Drive, which is 6,500 square feet, before the end of November.
