Wilmington Warehouse Nets Large Lease

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Jul 24, 2013

Update: Story corrects Chuck Lydon's professional title.

More than 30,000 square feet of industrial space is now occupied in one of Wilmington’s largest warehouse facilities.

The Portside Warehouse at 312 Raleigh St. in the Landmark Industrial Park recently inked a lease for 36,000 square feet at the 180,000-square-foot warehouse, according to brokers involved in the transaction.

Susan Lacy, a broker and Realtor with Wilmington-based Intracoastal Realty Corp., represented the unnamed tenant during the mid-July transaction for an undisclosed amount.

Cody Cress, vice president of Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners and founder and principal broker of The CRESS Group, along with Tyler Pegg, commercial real estate advisor and broker with The CRESS Group, represented the landlord. Chuck Lydon, senior vice president and partner with Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners, also represented the landlord during the transaction.

Lacy would not disclose the name of the future tenant or the firm’s timeline for occupancy.

This is the second lease transaction recently to occur in the Landmark Industrial Park.

Lydon, and members of The CRESS Group, also leased 4,800 square feet of flex industrial space to Fla.-based Decks & Docks Lumber Company at 407 Landmark Drive.
