While this past weekend marked the first official Italian Sunday Brunch Buffet at Osteria Cicchetti in Monkey Junction, the restaurant has served several à la carte brunch items over the past few weeks, according to manager Anthony Eustace.

“We tested several brunch dishes over the last few weeks to gauge customers' reactions, and all of them were really well received,” Eustace said. “We also had great success with our Easter and Mother’s Day brunches, and customers continually asked us to consider opening for brunch regularly.”

Eustace said that the Circa Restaurant Group is seeking to offer customers in the Monkey Junction area a new take on brunch with traditional brunch items such as omelettes and crepes as well as Italian favorites. While the menu will likely change a bit from week to week, customers can expect to see dishes such as Chicken Piccata, Chicken Franchaise, Sausage and Peppers, Pasta Bolognese and Pasta Arribiata and Meatballs on the menu regularly.

“We want to provide fresh, scratch-made brunch dishes at a reasonable price,” Eustace said. “We’ll be actively asking for customer feedback and recommendations on the types of dishes our diners would like to see on the menu.”

Brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Monkey Junction location, 5104 S. College Road. The buffet is $14.95 for adults and $8.95 for children. Reservations are recommended.
