Retail and residential space has been filling up at Grand View, a mixed-use project close to the Wrightsville Beach bridge that includes retail space under luxury apartments.

One of the newest tenants in the commercial line-up is Coastal Massage and Bodywork (CMB), which will triple in size to 3,000 square feet and feature new spa offerings when the business becomes Coastal Massage and Spa next year. The business is expected to open in its larger space at Grand View, 7205 Wrightsville Ave., in March 2018, relocating from its current address near Wrightsville Beach at 2030 Eastwood Road.

The new spa space is one of the units that crews are currently upfitting on the bottom floor of the Grand View building that faces Eastwood Road. The spa will feature eight treatment rooms, locker rooms with showers, a steam room, a sauna, HydraFacial, relaxation space and a bridal suite for private events and bridal parties, a news release said.

“Our clients have been asking for more services, more availability, and the ability to have a full-day spa experience without having to leave Wilmington. It’s a dream come true for all of us,“ said Theresa Anne Stevens, owner of CMB, in the release.

Another Grand View retail unit, where the upfit is nearing completion, is for Renaissance Dental Studio by dentist Sarah Pless, expected to open in January next year, according to the Renaissance Dental Studio website.

Current tenants in the retail space at Grand View include Cruz restaurant, Brush Dry Bar, LV Nail Spa, Guaranteed Rate and Moree Law. Landmark Sotheby's International Realty moved its office there earlier this year.

"It's definitely a good amenity for us to have, having all the retail space," said Charlie Wiggs, assistant manager of Grand View Luxury Apartment Homes, managed by Hawthorne Residential Partners.

She said 70 percent of the more than 100 residential units, which were completed in September of last year, are full. Grand View is owned by Grand View Holdings LLC.
