A national hardscape company has acquired Wilmington-based Stone Garden.

Outdoor Living Supply announced Wednesday its acquisition of the independent stone supplier, according to a press release.

Located at 5726 Market St., Stone Garden was founded in 1999 and has “reigned as the region’s premier stone yard and outdoor living center,” the release states.

Stone Garden’s founder and owner, Nina Brown, will continue to lead the local company to ensure continuity for customers and suppliers. “For over 23 years, Stone Garden has been a trusted partner to our community of residential and commercial customers,” Brown said in the release. “Looking ahead, our partnership with [Outdoor Living Supply] will allow us to continue doing what has made us successful while also creating new growth opportunities for the company, as well as for our employees and business partners.

“I am thrilled [Outdoor Living Supply] shares our commitment to customer service and to the legacy of our brand,” she said.

Including Stone Garden, Outdoor Living Supply lists 13 brands on its website. The company seeks partnerships with “family- and founder-led companies with shared values and local heritage,” according to the release. These strategic acquisitions allow the companies to grow through training, resources and technology. Outdoor Living Supply (OLS) launched in 2020 with financial support from middle-market private equity firm Trilantic North America.

“We are excited to welcome Nina and her dedicated team to the OLS family of companies. This represents our fifth location in North Carolina and our first location in the fast-growing coastal market,” Brian Price, OLS CEO said in the release. “Nina has built an outstanding business and shares our commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience. We look forward to growing with Stone Garden for years to come.”
