While remaining under the same stretch of roof, Highland Roofing Co. will enlarge its office and warehouse capacity, its owner announced this week.

Iain Fergusson, who founded the company ten years ago, said that steady growth means that Highland Roofing needs more space. The company moved into its current facility at 4310 Deer Creek Lane a year and a half ago, he said.

Having secured an SBA loan last week, Fergusson plans a renovation that will create three additional offices and a conference room within the company’s existing 9,000-square-foot warehouse/office building.

To make up for storage room lost to the new office suite, the company will build a mezzanine level in the warehouse, Fergusson said. The renovation work will also include some external improvements.

The roughly $130,000 project is being done by Christopher Building Co., he added.
