Two entrepreneurial sisters have leased space for a pair of businesses at 805 N. Fourth St. in downtown Wilmington.
 
Stephanie and Adrienne Vendetti will use the space to house the fulfillment office of HowToBeARedHead.com, their online business focused on redheaded women. In addition, the duo will open a co-working space in the building, called Grow, early next year.
 
“When we first started How to be a Redhead, Adrienne lived in Boston, and I lived in New York City,” explained Stephanie Vendetti. “We joined co-working spaces initially to get accustomed to working from home, and we noticed immediately how much it benefited our business. It’s a great way to network, and it’s a wonderful way to ‘grow’ your business.”
 
Grow will be the only co-working office space downtown, although there are several in other parts of the city.
 
The sisters launched How to be a Redhead in 2011, and it has grown from a simple website into a business that includes nationwide beauty events, a subscription box of beauty products delivered to thousands of redheads monthly, and a book co-authored and released by the Vendetti sisters last spring.
 
Steve Mitchell, a broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial SunCoast, negotiated the lease of the first-floor space with its 1,307 square feet.
 
“805 North Fourth is the perfect environment for the Vendetti sisters and their entrepreneurial spirit,” Mitchell said in a news release. “The North Fourth Street corridor is seeing a great deal of new development and new business activity and I anticipate this area of downtown Wilmington will continue to thrive and attract more entrepreneurs.”
 
Grow will open in February and applications for membership are now being accepted at the Grow website, for entrepreneurs, independent freelancers, telecommuting remote workers and others.
 
“We chose North Fourth because the neighborhood is growing, and people will be joining the space to grow their businesses too,” added Adrienne Vendetti.
 
805 N. Fourth St. is an historic property built in 1900 and located in the Central Business District. Originally known as the National Biscuit Company Bakery, the 5,000-square-foot property is now home to a wide variety of businesses, including Evolve Golf, Hood-Herring Architects, Menagerie Design Studio by Artist Carolyn Suzanne Colby and Atmosphere Hair Studio.
