Chamber Names New Board Members, Officers

Rickey Godwin III will serve as chairman of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce’s board this year.
 
Godwin is a partner at McGladrey LLP. He received a bachelor’s in accounting from East Carolina University and has 25 years of experience providing tax compliance and advisory services to corporations, partnerships and LLCs, according to a news release.
 
He previously served as a first vice chairman with the chamber. In his role this year, Godwin will also serve as a member of the Chamber Education Foundation Board and on Wilmington Business Development’s board of directors as the chamber’s representative, the release stated.
 
Godwin succeeds last year’s board chairman Hal Kitchin, of McGuireWoods LLP, who will serve this year as immediate past chairman, according to a news release.
 
Also serving on the chamber leadership team this year are: first vice chairman Chris Boney, of LS3P Associates; second vice chairman Mitch Lamm, of First Citizens Bank; and new board member and treasurer Charlie Mattox, of BB&T. 
 
Other new members elected to the board of directors are: Chris Reid, of Thomas Construction; Will Purvis, of Liberty Health Care; Corey Barbour, of Wells Fargo; and Lee Williams, of Live Oak Bank.
